Project description and environmental stewardship

Project Details and Cares for the Environment

In order to ensure that all aspects of Thaioil’s operation that may negatively impact the environment and threaten the integrity of the ecosystem and the environment are carefully and thoroughly considered, all projects must first been undergone with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)

During the Public Participation (PP) stage of the assessment, Thaioil hosted at least 2 events in order to gather the opinions of 7 stakeholder groups in accordance with the policy of the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP). The stakeholder groups include the party directly affected by the project, the entity responsible for conducting EIA, the body assessing the EIA, various governmental agencies, private development organizations, independent researchers, the press, and the general public.

Through the releases of information on the projects’ progress, the hosting of public events to gather opinions and recommendations on the potential environmental impacts, as well as implementing preventative and remedial measures, all stakeholders can be confident that Thaioil projects are adequately and effectively managed to protect the environment, occupational health, and safety. It is in the best interest of Thaioil to prevent negative environmental impacts on the surrounding communities.
